I had stopped breeding gerbils. I really had. I haven't had a
litter of gerbils in my house since January.
Well... I had some of males, and some young females, and I got to
thinkin'. So now I have a pair on my desk here. The male is a
pied apricot. The female is a DEH. They've been mating ALL DAY.
Expect a litter report in 25+/- days. Maybe I will observe them,
take notes, and write "A Gerbil Pregnancy: Day-by-Day". They get
observed a lot anyway, being on top of my computer desk.
So, is gerbil breeding some sort of sick compulsion or what? :)
Actually, to tell you the truth, I missed having gerbil pups
around.
