Hi all, Due to seemingly endless litters containing seizure-prone pups, I have decided to end my gerbil breeding and home all my gerbils. Of my two latest litters, my "older" litter, now 7 weeks old, all is seizure-prone -- out of gerbils straight from other breeders of believed seizure-free lines. My younger litter, now 6 weeks old, which I was hoping was seizure free, has at least 1 seizure-prone pup (2 pups). That litter is fathered by the same father but by a different mother, also from another breeder. I thought I would give this one more chance, but I can't continue seeing seizure-prone pups. At this point, I strongly believe there is something at my home that is either stressing the gerbils or something environment-wise that is "helping" to produce seizure-prone gerbils. At any rate, I'm come to the conclusion that there is a high likelihood of seizure-prone pups if I continue breeding, and thus I have decided to stop breeding. I have several seizure-free gerbils that I am willing to ship, if needed, to new homes. I have light colorpoints and colorpoints, as well as several other colors, many of which are spotted or pied. I've updated my adoption page (link in signature) to list all available gerbils, so if you are interested in any gerbils you may check the page or just email me. A special note - I have a lady that may want my siamese spot tomorrow, so if anyone wants his companions (LCP mystery male OR slate male) please email me asap.
