Jenni;
I don't agree totally with you, because some 28 years ago I
had three Gerbils and one of them got loose on me. To make this as short
as possible, my dad caught it and the tail broke off. He did the best he
could to doctor it's wound and put it back in with it cage mates. about
one week later Buzz bit my dad as he tried to gently pick him up to check
on his tail. I believe Buzz did it out of spite, because my dad was the
one that caught him. Now had it been me I don't think he would have done
that. Buzz truly was a one person Gerbil and I miss him to this day. He
was a Golden Tan color with a white belly, and he got the name Buzz,
because he shaved he nose bald on the old metal disk that was sold to
block the end of the tubes off for the happitrial(?my spelling is bad at
times) trying to find me. The first day my dad brought him home I was the
first person he saw and smelt and he sat on my shoulder and ate a food
pellet while my dad finished putting everything together. Now after 24
years my daughter has gotten me involved with a couple more and I'm
seeing the same types of things going on again. Now all of our Gerbils
like the two of us but are some what leery of other people. This is why I
don't agree with you totally. This is also a story that my daughter
hasn't heard yet, because I didn't remember it until I started writing
this message. So thanks for bearing with my long winded ness and bringing
back a great memory.
