death question

My gerbil died yesterday and i dont know why, he was only 4 weeks old.  He
was lying on the floor of his cage and was randomly kicking out his legs,
then he stoped kicking his legs and was blowing bubbles out of his nose then
totally stoped moving ans was dead.  If anyone knows why he died please tell.
