Okay, I know i broached this subject before, but I've seriously been watching my two female gerbils for well over 6 hours pretty continuously "mating". The way things go is one will grab the other near the nape of the neck, the lower one will raise her tail. they'll go like this for a little bit, then they'll switch places. At first I was thinking it was just dominance, but it's been going on for hours, and they're not really rubbing their stomachs on each other... as well they switch sides. They're looking extremely rumpled from all this activity. Should I stop them? They're not squeaking really, so i don't think anyone getting hurt.
