I'm not currently subscribed to the list, but I'm hoping that someone can help me...
Something is wrong with one of my female gerbils. She has been extremely lethargic
all day and has barely moved at all. When she does move, she has seemed a little
wobbly (but all 4 legs seem to be functioning just fine) and she has been stretching
and scratching herself a lot. She keeps returning to the same spot of bare cardboard
to lie down again. She did get up briefly to eat the bit of banana I offered, but
only nibbled at the sunflower seed I tried earlier. Her cagemate (also female) seems
just fine and has been very caring toward her today; grooming, keeping her warm...
She's not making any clicking noises, but kept squeaking in protest when I picked her
up to check her out (unusual for her). Do you think she's in pain? Does any of this
sound familiar to anyone? What can I do for my precious lady??? :(
