Thanks to everyone who emailed me privately and gave me
some well needed advice. :) Very little of it contradicted <g>
and it was all of use.

All the animals are now in semi-permanent housing (read
old aquariums); two communities are now in 55 gallon
tanks; and two are in sterilite tubs, the same footprint as
a 30 gallon long. (I'll be moving those soon)

The groups were all in 10 gallon aquariums with wire mesh
lids; as follows:

One group, four adults and one nearly grown juvenile.
One group, five adults (they had 8-10 pinkie babies the
day they were rescued, and the babies disappeared that day)
One group, five adults and three nearly grown juveniles.
One group, six adults, eight nearly grown juveniles, and nine
pups furred out and eyes open and crawling around some.

The last group WAS in a 10 gallon aquarium. Yes.

The day of rescue, there were 49-51 animals. With the
nearly newborn litter disappearing, there is still thirty one
animals that are now in better care, more room, and an
undecided future.

I took one bag of my hamster mix, shook it good, and
took feed from the bottom. This removes most of the
sunflower seeds and peanuts (not a abundant amount
to begin with) from the rest of the mix, and they seem to
enjoy the rest fine. I did add a handful of oatmeal to the
five pounds of feed mix; and they enjoy that greatly.

They can shred toilet paper rolls faster than they can be
produced around here, which takes doing! :)

I still need to inventory the animals by sex, apparent age
(a few seem to be quite mature indeed), and coat color.

They need homes. I do not have a ready market for
gerbils like I do for the dwarf campbell hamsters I raise;
so they need to be adopted.

I am in Colorado, Colorado Springs.  If anyone is interested;
wait until I figure out the colors and sex and groupings;
then let me know.

Again, thanks to everyone that responded to my plea for
help with great advice!
