Go to a local hardware/lumber yard. Most of them are willing to cut
to measure. Measure the outside perimeter of the cages. Then have
them cut Plexiglas to fit the cage sides. So if the cage was 10X18,
you would need 2 pieces cut 10x6 and 2 pieces cut 18X6. Have them
drill a small hole in each of the corners. Use the holes to attach the
Plexiglas to the cage using some thin wire. This would cover the four
sides of the cage 6 inches up. Since it will not be getting much wear and
tear it should would not have to be very heavy. You should be able to get
the Plexiglas cut very reasonably.
