This probably won't help much but it must be somewhere between 4-10 weeks of
age.

I would assume the pup would of had to been at least 4 weeks of age when he
was separated from his family. Any younger, and I don't think he could of
survived.

It's really hard to tell just by the length of a gerbil. With all the pups
I've raised, I've had 12 week old pups small enough to pass for an 8 week
old pup.

My best guess would be 8 weeks old.
