Well, this never happened to me when my gerbil was NERVOUS, but I did have a
mother gerbil that ran on the wheel when her family wouldn't leave her alone.
And when she just had her pups that dad would be chasing her (to try and
mate) but she thought he was just being annoying, so she started to run on
the wheel (when she is running on the wheel there is NO way for him to get
on). This one time I was cleaning one of my tanks and looked over at their
tank and saw the Mom, IN the wheel, the dad IN the wheel (next to the Mom),
two babies on TOP of the wheel running, two babies UNDER the wheel lying down
and only running with their front legs. ANNNNND, I had just used the last of
my film about 15 minutes earlier! I did get a picture of 5 gerbils drinking
on a waterbottle though, and 5 gerbils licking the corner of the tank (I
thought only babies licked the side of the tank, I guess im wrong).
