Will Cricket be lonley if not "friend"?

Since I am keeping Cricket, does she be lonley if there is no gerbil with
her? I am not sure yet if I want to breed her.  Females out by me are hard to
find. I can probbably get a female from a petstore that is about 15-30
minutes away. I have awile though before I decide because she is only 9 days
old. Can everyone tell me what they think?
