I know how many people who breed gerbils also include a pedigree. I also do
so. Listening to the list I hear that most people want boys. Please don't
jump on my case, I know that girls are wanted also. The thing is some
people want more than 2 gerbils living together and that can be done best
with males.
I know that a male gerbil who was in a litter of mostly girls will produce
mostly girls.
My idea: Include in your pedigree how many girls and how many boys were in
the litter with any male being bought for breeding. I my litters I have
always mostly had girls and I always wanted a group of maybe 5 boys, but
never had that many males at one time.
What does everyone think?

I just wanted to add this little tid-bit: I have recently been introduced
to the world of guinea pigs as I own a female. I have found out that in
guinea pigs the females are easier to keep together b/c the males fight a
lot. As with gerbil females, male guinea pig have ot be introduced as young
as possible.
Hope everyone is doing okay!
