This sounds like a good idea but I have a few questions
1. I have a 7 month old female and all she dose is eat and sleep I never
see her and she's hard to catch. Would having mouse be good for her.
She's in a 20 gal tank and all alone I think she needs a friend.
2. I might have a 2 month old female from a litter I just had can I put
the 2 month old with her?
3. Can I get more then mouse theres a lot of the aquarium?
4. Dose the sex of the mouse matter? And when the sex of the 2 month old
is determined can I put her in there too?
5. How do you do a gerbil mouse introduction? Is it the same as a gerbil
introduction?
I really don't think she'll
get along with another gerbil she has been by herself a long time.
Thanks of the help

I don't think mouse introductions would work with females. Another,
female gerbil using the split cage method would be better.
While reading GML mail, I've come across 2 other techniques for
introducing that might work. (Be careful when doing this)
1) Release both gerbils into a gerbil proof room
and see if they end up together. One member had 2 lone females escape
and they were found together.
2) Take an aquarium which has been occupied by another pair, (put
original pair in new tank) and put the two females in there. The females
are now strangers in someone else territory and may not be territorial.
