Another vote for a gangi's views, though I'm not as expert as she is.
For me, the humanitarian reasons for not shipping come first, not legal
consequences for humans. And I hope I won't hear any more GML items about
how to dodge the regulations, which are there because animal activists
asked for them. Activists are knowledgeable animal lovers acting for
anonymous animals -- not amateur breeders looking to dodge regulations
to offload excess animals because they haven't thought in advance.
Expert gerbil breeders have reasons for shipping and know what they are
doing. All others should avoid it IMHO.
