A am not sure at all how long they will last but I have a Habitrail Safari
wheel (It's kind of a solid plastic wheel) that attachs to the side of the
tank. My little female I have in that tank and hated her old wheel loves
it!! It only cost $3.25 at the PETSMART near me. I also got a really neat
wheel that is solid called the HAmster Workout wheel by Multipet
international INc. This whell is really neat because there are magnets on it
that record how far the gerbs go!! On several different days the par in that
tank have gone over a mile! It cost $9.95 and has lasted a month in a tank
with two adults who love to chew. I suspect it only has another week or two
before it will be nonfunctional. I don't think I would purchase this one
again (i'll go with cardboard in a regular wheel from now on or the cheaper
habitrail safari if this one lasts) but it sure is fun to see how far they go
each day.
