Hi list-
I just noticed my gerbil Blake has a good sized bald spot on the side of
one of her hind legs. The skin underneath has some red markings that look
like a scratch. It doesn't seem to bother her at all and she's not sick- is
it likely that her cagemate Calantha is barbering her? Or maybe she did
this herself and, if so, why? Maybe it is itchy for some reason?
My question is should I let it alone, or put some antibiotic on it? Thanks
for any input.
