I agree with Karin. This list changed about a year ago and I often ask
myself if I want to continue here. One of the reasons I don't go is
because I am one of the few veterans with a knowledge of how this list
started and the various subjects we have discussed over the last five
and a half years.
I don't have a problem with people posting anything that they wish to
discuss concerning gerbils within the prescriptions of the charter. The
charter is intended to regulate conduct so that we can all make proper
use of the list. I think you will find the charter is not very
restrictive. It is intended to encourage discussion, and not stifle it.
Unfortunately, despite frequent postings of the Gerbil FAQ, the GML FAQ,
and the Charter, there seem a lot of people who take no time to look at
these.
We are all here to learn and to help each other out. I know I have made
some good friends from this list, but there needs to be some
consideration for other users. And that goes for everybody, myself
included.
