"Bib" is also the term used for ferrets. Since many of our original
terms are similar to other rodent terms (yes, yes, I know, ferrets
aren't rodents -- I was thinking about rats and hamsters and mice
here), I should think we might want to let that be our guide in this
case, since it is something that's pretty common to the various species.

Er. I dunno about that, honestly. I DO know that the bib + white feet
in the front but NOT the back is known as a "tuxedo" pattern in cats.
I don't think we have this pattern in gerbils, though, since we don't
really have any markings that I'm aware of that fit the term the
descriptive term of "glove". The marks are really too small.
