Hi Everybody!
Thanks to Amy H. in Phoenix, I am now down to 7 gerbils. As some of you
might remember, Birch was attacked by his cagemate, Mike, right as we were
trying to leave Alaska. He recovered, but has been alone ever since. Well,
Amy H. said she could certainly take in a cute red-eyed champagne boy and so
we delivered him to Phoenix on Saturday. We were in Phoenix for a trip to
the Salt River to go floating down the river.
Now Birch is in a new home and at last report is happily grooming a couple
of young pups until the pups grow up and Amy H. can pick which one will be
Birch's mate. I'm so happy that Birch finally has a cagemate and won't have
to be lonely any more.
