I am trying to decide whether one of my gerbs is a pied DEH or a Champaigne,
there is a picture of her being groomed by my male DEH at www.geocities.com/ke
eper282/pups.htm It is the picture at the top. She has no black ticking
at all, her spots look a little darker in this picture than they actually
are, I'd say she's 4-5 months old, she has a normal pied coloration with the
darker patches which are really all you can see in this picture. her tail
has gotten lighter since this picture was taken.
So far I believe their pups are.... 1 orange (dark eyes), I think DEH but
possibly schimmel, 1 orange pied (dark eyes) (DEH pied or champainge I
guess), 3 Dark eyed pups which are totally white so far with dark points on
their ears and tails, they are 9 days old.
Any guesses as to parents genetics? They are both pet store gerbils so i
have no clue except I think the she has a brother who I purchased with her
that looks like a PEW except has one orange patch above his eye.
