Hi list, I know there has been some discussion on this. Anyone had an infestation get out of hand, like all over some furniture or one room? We got some containmenated bedding and had the mites get all over our countertops and kitchen surfaces and us this weekend. Luckily it is not onthe gerbils cages but i did use small animal spray for mites on their cages and recleaned them all. I froze their food since it is in the kitchen also. We are calling the exterminator tomorrow. It will be hard to move everyone if we have to but we will if that is what we are told is needed to spray. We have fish with air filters too. Iwas wondering if anyone had anymore advice. /They are everywhere. We have washed clothing and sprayed the cages and tossed out contaminated bedding and someone at the pet store said they used 7 dust in the bedding. Anyone done this? ANY advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks! We are planning to continue to spray and treat the carpet and gerbils cages just in case but they are also on the furniture too. Is it normal for the population to just expode like this?
