Just thought I'd answer that.. generally breeding pairs usually have litters on
their hands and so if they were placed in a burrowing tank, the owner would
have two choices.. 1. Leave the pups in the tank until mom/dad are back or 2.
Take the pups in with the mom/dad. If they leave the pups, if they're still
young they could get chilly and hungry. Also if they're still young, if they
were placed in a new enviorment the mom/dad might be stressed and try to eat
them. And yes, that was a good point, the babies could get lost and could get
hurt if the human tried to find them.
