Bedding

Hi all!

Is it ok to use Barley Straw as bedding for the Far I's?

They got through 7 toilet rolls last night and their bedding is now kind of
95% cardboard and 5% wood shavings and a load of bog roll to boot. The
shavings I have at the moment is pine, which I've just read isn't good, all
I have left it Barley Straw. The package said that it is fine for Gerbs, but
then so did the pine....
