Hi all,
Just to let you all know I have now bought an aquarium for the sisters. It
is 24" x 12" x 16", not sure how many gallons that is, but it seems plenty
big enough for the two of them.
It makes a huge difference over the cage. They seem to run around loads more
cos its bigger and I can put more bedding in there. They can move the
bedding about way more how they want to without it all being pushed out of
the cage. My vaccum cleaner is a lot happier as well. Also is a lot more
aesthetically pleasing.
Their noses had a slight inflammation, which I presume was a result of them
squeezing it through the wires, and this has now disappeared.
Anyone who has a cage, I thoroughly recommend moving over...
One question, I have put some chicken wire on the top to prevent them
jumping out. Are they strong enough to push this off or squeeze through one
of the corners by bending the wire? Should I weigh down the corners (or
rather is it ok to remove the weights from the corners)?
