With sudden weight loss and no other symptoms I'd check the teeth
first. We have three gerbils who need their teeth shortened every
month or two right now and weight loss was pretty much the only
indication.
Two of them lost their top incisors for unknown reasons and the
other ones bottom incisors are loose.
Give her a sunflower seed or other treat and watch closely if she
can open it. Does she nibble paper and cardboard without
problems?
