Introducing Pippin and Zooty didn't work out. To refresh your memory on the situation: both are "widowers" over 2 years old, and Pippin had one failed intro already. They'd been in the split cage for about a week. Last night when I got home I found them both on the same side. I'm not sure how they defeated the divider. Zooty had lots of injuries but was in one piece and seemed reasonably perky. Pippin had some blood on him, but when I checked him over, he didn't appear to be injured. I assume it was Zooty's blood on Pippin. I separated them and doctored Zooty's injuries. There were a lot of them, hard to see with his black fur. I used peroxide and antibiotic ointment. He was a good patient. He seemed okay this morning, tho he looked a bit pathetic with all those wounds, poor little guy. I am considering getting a young male to be Zooty's companion, after he heals of course. I'm afraid Pippin is a hopeless case. ===== Julie & Michael (homo sapiens) Alex P.
