Nocturnal Gerbs

Hi all,

I had the pleasure of trying to sleep in the same room as my Gerbils last
night, and they didn't stop for a second. It seems they didn't sleep at all.
During the day they sleep quite a lot, with quick bursts of activity.

Everywhere I have read on Gerbils says that they aren't nocturnal, but my
ones seem to be. Is that quite normal? I guess when I was their age
(relatively) I did the same sort of thing...
