Hi list-
Well, my pregnant mom gerbil made it on the thanksgiving voyage and back
and managed not to have any babies! She is looking very pregnant now and I
can see the babies moving in her sides.
The first litter is 6 weeks old today and all are doing very well-
including the pup who was clicking so badly. She is much smaller than the
others, but is very feisty and active.
Question:
I removed the father and the one boy from the first litter yesterday to
avoid a 3rd litter. Is it okay for the 4 girls to stay with mom for now
when the new litter arrives? She hasn't fought with them or chased them
away. I want to see how many boys and girls are in the next litter before I
decide how I want to split everyone up.
Also, just to double check, it will be possible to put any boys from the
2nd litter in with the father and son, right?
