My second choice for a pocket pet besides gerbils would be a Leopard
Gecko. I have three, you can read about them on my page "These are my
pets".  Look below. They are clean and very easy to keep.
Budgies are also nice pets to have. I used to have them but not anymore,
I might be allergic.
Pigeons are neat too, if you get a solid white baby from a poultry
market it will look like a dove and coo. If its a male. You will also
save it from getting eaten.
