Well . . . I will have to be sure NEVER to assume anything about a gerbil
from a pet store again! It appears at this moment that my Tina is a DTW
after all and is aaPp. The pups are nine days old today. One looks to be
black pied, the other five look like doves, but I think two of them are
going to be pied like the black. Will keep you updated. It also seems that
the little black pied is the only male in the bunch. :) 5 girls one boy.
I could be wrong . . . but I think I'm pretty close to accurate. Wouldn't
swear to it as this IS my first liter. :)

My little lilac spot Kibble, is really getting the hang of this climbing the
arm thing. He's started to just sit in my hand and let me pet him, rather
than trying toclimb over my shoulder and down my back. :) He's not quite
as sure of my husband yet . . . lol! Tina is still wary, but I'mn sure it's
because she thinks of hands and nose cream. Will just give her some time to
forget about all the times I had to smear stuff on her nose. The hair has
all finally grown back, and I am being EXTRAcareful with everything I put in
the cage so it doesn't cause her nose to get messed up again. I wonder
though, could some of the pups inherit her really sensitive nose? I just
wonder so I can know to be careful with them too.

Take care everyone, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Renee
