I was recently watching an episode of Crocodile Hunter where they were
discussing the Rattus rattus (European black rat) problem in Australian.
Except that for most of the shots, they were actually showing Rattus
norvegicus (Norwegian brown rat). When they actually trapped a couple
wild ones, those were Rattus rattus.
I'm probably a really big geek for being able to tell the difference
