I would use the split cage. We have had plenty of ten week olds that
would fight young introductees.

It depends on the context. They are not fully grown until about four
months, maybe longer, but they behave like adults from some time between
ten and thirteen weeks.

You can be lucky and have no trouble. But trouble at four to six months
and at two and a half years is likely with larger groups. In our
experience, the larger the group the more likely there is to be trouble.
