Hello!
Gerbil Gestation is usually around 24-28 days so it is not so surprising that
you have another litter already especially as the female goes on heat
immediately after giving birth and become pregnant straight away. However
there is usually around 30-35 days between litters if the mother is still
nursing an older litter, but if the mother thinks she can cope she will have
them sooner.
As for removing the older litter that all depends on whether they are
bothering the new pups or the mother? When the new pups were born the mother
will stop allowing the older ones to nurse at all(but they may not have been
doing so anyway for about a week) so they will be weaned and independent
enough. It is usually a good idea to leave them with their parents for another
week or so though so they can learn gerbil behaviour and be socialised. But if
they are stressing the mother out by not leaving the new pups alone then they
can be removed now, but put them all in a tank together for company for now
and in a couple of weeks you will need to seperate them by sex or into
smaller groups.
