We do not routinely autopsy our gerbils. Certainly we have never seen,
or had diagnosed for us any tumours as you describe. We keep mice and
rats and are vary familiar with the multitude of tumours they produce.

As for ovaries, were these tumours of cysts? Large ovarian cysts are
very common in older females and could be confused for an abdominal
tumour unless an autopsy or some other procedure were carried out.
