It has been my experience that what has been described as "sticky eye" can be treated with triple antibiotic ointment applied around the eye area. These are the same ingredients used to treat "pink eye" or conjunctivitis, which is a bacterial infection and not viral. The ointment gets rid of the infection quickly. Pink eye is contagious to humans and other animals. Kathleen
