>Another question for the group...what have been
>people's experience with the terms "undefined" and
>"unknown" color on the Gerbil Gene Predictor and
>Gerbil Gene Calculator? What do those mean exactly

I do know that at least one of the "undefined" on the
Gerbil Gene Predictor is Apricot or Red Eyed Polar
Fox. I've seen both names used for the same gene set.

On the Gerbil Calculator, alot of the undefineds are
from having one c(h) gene in the mix. In some colors
this produces a lighter color than without it, and in
some colors it isn't noticeable, but the Gerbil
Calculator doesn't take it into consideration
sometimes.

I do have a question though. I've seen two different
gen variations for red-eyed white, and one of them is
also used for another color, so I'm wondering if maybe
the colors just aren't established so it's just a
guess? I'm just curious.

It does seem like my three are apricots. Eyes are
open today and they are definetly a ruby color, there
tummies are white and their coat color is a light
peach color, much lighter than their mom, who is a
Light Yellow Fox. Very pretty color actually, and
unbelievably enough, a color I had wanted way back
when and didn't think I'd actually ever get.

The little guy missing the hind right foot it doing
just fine. it looks like, if it was bitten off or
something, it was clean at the joint. He gets around
just fine, and except for not being able to scratch on
that side he's okay.
