Thank you all for your advice about anything and everything I have brought to
the list. One more question. Acting on some of your advice I have decided to
try corn cob instead of the aspen. Will the gerbils be happy solely on
corncob? I mean they won't be able to dig their tunnels or burrows or will
that matter as longs as they are able to dig for food and treats I bury for
them? Where I live the cob is far more economical than the aspen or carefresh
is by far. The only thing more economical is the dreaded pine and cedar.
I guess after looking at the pictures on many of the web sites all they
really need is food, water, bedding and a nest box to make them feel secure.
I guess I would be happy to for I would be able to see them more often than I
do...lol
In closing would it be possible to hear from any and all of you who like to
share how many gerbils you have and what kind of set up you have? I realize
with large clans one can't be too elaborate with tanks. Regardless I am
curious whether you might have 2 gerbils or 20+.
Thank you
Joe
