I have a lone gerbil that I'd like to put with another male. But here's his
story. I had one lone male that lived alone for a few months until a younger
pup was old enough to be put with him. When this pup was about 7 weeks old I
put him in a split tank with my older gerbil. After about a week I put them
together and my older gerbil just LOVED that little guy, always groomed him
and took care of him like a son. Well, when the "son" grew up he killed the
older gerbil. Since then he's always been very wild and I can't seem to tame
him down at all. I'd like to put another gerbil in with him...but then again
I don't want to see that one killed as well. What do you guys think? I
would like it to be male since he has such a bad temperament I don't want any
pups from him. But if it doesn't work out..then I either have 2 lone males
or I'm back to the same situation, but with a dead pup. What would you do?
