What pets do you have now? A ten gallon tank is all
you need. A wheel provides exercise. They can also run
around in an empty tub. If you get two sisters or two
brothers you won't have to worry about babies. Gerbils
are low maintenance pets they don't smell much because
their urine is concentrated. Perhaps, you can make a
compromise whereby you can keep them in a shed or
Garage. Gerbils can live outdoors all year round if
they are provided with a nesting box and plenty of
paper, tissues, napkins etc. The desert they come from
Mongolia, is a cold desert. Thats why they have hair
on their ears, feet and tail.
