Hi!

When there are problems you can freely separate mom and
pups.
In my litter mom "escaped" from the tank. Pups were only
4 weeks old. She found the hole in the aquarium ceiling
and father and pups were alone, and theit mom was runing
around in my kitchen. :-)
I didn't put her back. I gave her a new room-mate.

If you have problems, like illnes, or fights, you can
separate them. If you don't have problems, then you can
have all the gerbils in the same tank for months...

Have a nice time with your gerbs!
