I've had increased breeding problems in the last two
months my self. After raising a large and healthy
litter Tres and Peaches didn't have the next litter
(seemed to skip one). The last litter was about 9-10
weeks ago, but Peaches is finally fat again.
My secon breeding pair gave birth to three and I found
all of these new borns dead. As there had be about
one stillborn per litter in the past, I separated the
pair and re-introduced the female to a another male.
I wonder if there could be something about this time
of year (late-winter) for low birth rate/health? As
an unnatural time to breed?? I'm making this up, but
am hoping healthy pups will arrive in the Spring.
Also, respiratory infection in my experience happens
at about 3-4 weeks, if you look at my web site on the
Breeding page, you can get some detailed info on
treating.
