<DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However since she may live to be three or four I don't want her to be lonely in the meantime. Although we are giving her lots of love and attention, it's not the same as her having a cagemate. Is it possible to intoduce a gerbil of a similar age to her so they can live together? A younger one would be easy to introduce, but she would live longer than Viola and be lonely when Viola died... you see?</DIV> It is certainly possible to introduce a gerbil of similar age to your Viola. In fact, for an adult female it is BETTER to introduce a same-size pal. Adult males are likely to take in a young pup, but females are more likely to drive it off b/c it's not her pup! Intros w/adult females are a bit dicey, but they can work. Find a similar-size pal for her and give it a try in the split cage. ===== Julie & Michael Alex P.
