moving new mother

Hi all,   I have a pair that gave brith Sunday morning to 7. However, the cage I have her in is not an ideal one for the pups, and I would like to move her and the pups, ASAP.   She is a first time mom, and rather nervous with the pups. I feel that the pups may be in danger in this cage, but would moving her (to a new unused 10gal tank) be more stressful and cause her to abandon or worse yet kill her pups?   If anyone has advice about this, please share.
