Hi, I finally put my two males together, who had been in the split cage for 2,5 months now. I figured they wouldn't start behaving beter after another month, so I prepared to put them together. Searching good gloves, spare cage for emergencies, a sister to assist. I removed everything from the tank (including the agressif one (George), but not the other one (Fred). Divider was out, and then I put George back in the tank. They immediatly started fighting, in ball-formation. I seperated them with my gloves on, but before I could get one, they started fighting again. I separated them, and then my sister managed to pick up George. Fred has the tank for himself now, and I'm trying to make another tank for George. I have a hamster cage, but if I can fix this old tank, I'll put him in that. :( I guess, if I had bought Fred when he was 5 weeks, in stead of ten, and would have put them directly together, it might could have worked. But I didn't know yet about the differences in male-male and female-female intro's. I think I'm going to buy a boy of 5 weeks, try him with George, without split cage, if it workes, good, if it doesn't work, I'll try him on the same way with Fred. I don't think Fred will give much of a problem to be paired up. I would rather not take another gerb, we're getting full here, but I can't let them both be alone. But if it doesn't work for George the second time, sorry for him, but he had his chance. What are your toughts about this plan? Thanks for listening to my story :o- Sarah
