We have two gerbils--one male and one female--Herby Jerby and Trinity. They had a litter but ate all the babes but one. I figure they were not healthy or it was first time parent nerves. The one left is a male and he is doing fine and his eyes should open any day now. Will he have to be separated from them? If they have a full litter--which I am sure they will--will these babies have to be separated from their parents and siblings. I have heard conflicting stories about each of these situations. I would like to be prepared for this. I know females are very territorial. Thanks
