Is the one surviving gerbil making a clicking noise? This could mean a
respiratory infection. Pups sometimes get sick with respiratory infections
around the 3rd week, as they are just starting to wean and aren't getting as
much of their mom's antibodies from nursing.
Is the pup nursing at all? If you think this pup is sick you can try and
supplement with Kitten Replacement Milk. Use a dropper and be careful to let
the pup lap the milk off the lips. Also an antibiotic such as Ornacycline
should be given.
