The color of their feces will change in accordance with what they are
eating. I have mine on a diet consisting of a mixture of Kaytee parakeet mix
and Bonanza guinea pig feed. There are almost no Sunflower seeds in it.
Their feces are a medium brown color. For my overweight males I have put
them on a diet of guinea pig pellets. It is lower in fat than gerbil/hamster
feed. Their feces is quite black and larger than those of the gerbils on the
seed mixture.
