I have not actualy had this happen but from what I
have heard on the list the tail will dry up and fall
off where there is no skin and furr. I would think if
you just put some antibiotic cream on it to keep the
infection away that would be about all you can to. It
will just thave to heal on its own. It should not
really effect the gerbil her self, she will get used
to it and be fine.
