Hi, Cindy! Since I have schimmels, I thought nothing
of your assumption that it was an eef combination!
Ok, I am not an expert, but my kids are in bed, so I
worked on this for a minute or so. Here is what I
think (and I am sure someone will correct me if I am
wrong!)
the Black would be aaCCEeGgPpspsp
LCPGA would be A*chcbEeggPpspsp
Depending on whether you have any red-eyed pups, one
or both could be PP. The polar foxes have to get a
"e" and a "g" from both parents to have the requisite
A*CCeeggP*
The Agouti x REW/PEW was easier, since I have this
combination
The Agouti will have to be AaCCEeGgP*spsp
The REW will have to be aaCCEeggppspsp
Or, have you considerd that your REW may actually be a
Red-eyed blue fox: aaCCeeggppspsp, which would
increase your chances of getting the polar foxes
Actually, now that I am typing this, you should have
gotten an increase in Blue Fox/Silver Nutmegs, in both
of these combinations.
So, perhaps you have a PEW: A*Chch*e*gppspsp. All
those astericks is because when you have a chch
combined with a pp, you have a white appearing gerbil
regardless of the other genomes. You would still need
an "A" and an "e" and a "g" from this Dad to go with
the Agouti's recessives, but this one could just as
easily be Aa as AA, Ee, Gg or EE or GG and still
appear the same" PEW
Now, I'm confused! Must be time to go to bed!
Namaste.
Cynthia
