Does that seem odd to anyone?

I'm at a cousin's for three weeks.. I've only been
here for 2-3 days but I already miss my pair. I miss
seeing them dig, chew.. I even miss seeing them
destroy another one of their expensive toys.. I miss
feeling tiny paws scampering over my hand to grab a
sunflower seed. I left them in the care of my younger
sister. She's reliable but I still worry. Will she
remember to check the water bottle? Will she make sure
Cairo and Zerwin are happy?

And.. Will Cairo and Zerwin like her better than me?
That seems a little shallow, I know. It's good to get
them used to more than one person. But I want them to
like me too. Does gerbils only bond to one person?

It could be just a simple case of homesickness.. I
miss my dog and clownfish too. :p Composing this email
seems rather childish to me right now.. But thanks for
putting up with my random babble.

In other news.. Cairo seems to have tamed more quickly
than Zerwin. It's odd because I thought Zerwin would..
Zerwin came forward more quickly and has an insane
love of sunflower seeds while Cairo was more cautious
and only likes sunflowers seeds. By taming quicker I
mean Cairo like to sit in your hand and scamper up
your arm when your hand is in the tank.. Ok, ok, I
admit, I've been bitten by the gerbil bug. I cruise by
the petstore, eyeing the prices of 20 gallon aquariums
and cooing at the little gerbils. (Speaking of petshop
gerbils.. they're taken at a pretty young age,
correct? Younger than a breeder would?) I've checked
maps and cursed how far away Missouri is from
Delaware. (g)

Oh, I also picked up a little vital of vitamins at the
petshop. It *is* ok to give them to my pair, correct?
I just want to confirm.. It'll only help, not harm,
right?

Cheers,
Christina
